He was the husband of Judith A. Shultz Miller, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of Ella Blanche Preston Miller and the late Frank Miller. He was employed as a line foreman with PECO for 35 years. Joseph was a member of the VFW, West End Fire Company, the Moose Lodge and Valley View Hunt Club. He enjoyed antique cars, NASCAR and played in a darts league. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Cheryl; two sisters, Ella Davis and Verna Hurley; two brothers, Jack and William Miller; a brother-in-law, Bob Shultz; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Harris-Mountain Funeral Home, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville. Family and friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Coatesville. In his memory, contributions may be made to the National Stroke Association, 9707 E.
