'Crossed That Rainbow Bridge'
Durango resident Janice B. Malogrino died at Mercy Regional Medical Center on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009. She was 72
Mrs. Malogrino was born to John A. and Mary Emma (Gay) Otter in Kingston, N.Y., on Sept. 5, 1937. She grew up in Coatsville, Pa.
After a divorce, she moved to Miami with her four children, where she began her career with Eastern Airlines as a supervisor in reservations.
On Aug. 20, 1976, she married Joe Malagrino in Miami. The Malogrinos moved to Salt Lake City and then to Durango, where they settled down and lived happily, her family said.
In Durango she worked as a travel agent for Klatt Travel until she retired in 2001. After retirement, Mrs. Malagrino spent time in her garden, with her family, and making plans to move with her husband and daughter back to Florida. She was looking forward to enjoying the sun, the beach, old friends and distant family.
"Throughout her life, Janice touched the lives of everyone she met," her family wrote. "She is remembered for her kind heart, her wisdom and her incredible compassion. She always had time to listen, she gave of herself selflessly and she always saw the very best in people."
Mrs. Malagrino was preceded in death by her sons Bradley Kent and Benjamin Kevin Boose.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Joe Malagrino, of Durango; daughters Brenda Lamiroy of Durango, Briana Boose of Salt Lake City and Dawn Ennis of Jupiter, Fla.; sister Ester Smith of Williamsburg, Pa.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Joe and I are both retired and working harder than before. Dont know how we even had time for jobs! We live in the country on 40 acreswith a view of the beautiful Co mountains. Have 1 chicken, 2 dogs, Daisy II and Jasper.

Robert William Pavelik Sr., 72, of New Holland, formerly of Parkesburg, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009.
Born on June 6, 1937, in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Adam Pavelik Jr. and Gretna Kurtz Wartluft.
An area resident his entire life, he was a 1955 graduate of the former Scott High School.
He was retired from the Cigas Machine Shop, where he worked as a machinist for more than 40 years.
He belonged to the Parkesburg Fire Company, the Parkesburg VFW #4480 and the Atglen Sportsman Club.
Robert was a member of the Limeville UMC.
He is survived by three children, Susan P. Burns, wife of John of Gap, Robert W. Pavelik Jr., husband of Nolita of Tucson, Ariz., and Gregory T. Pavelik, husband of Debbie of Laurel, Md.; the mother of his children, Ruth P. Harvey of Gap; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his siblings, Eugene Pavelik of Coatesville and Joan Brooks of Gap.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa J. Pavelik.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Limeville United Methodist Church, 5783 Limeville Road, Gap, PA 17527, followed by interment in the Upper Octorara Cemetery of Parkesburg.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation, which will be held from 10 until 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's memory to the Limeville United Methodist Church at the above address.

She was the wife of the late H. Gilbert Eavenson who died in 1981. Born September 4, 1937 in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Dorothy Fisher Reedy.
Mrs. Eavenson retired from Mellon Bank, formerly Commonwealth National Bank, where she had been employed in customer service for many years. She enjoyed watching sports, gardening, crossword puzzles, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, Nicholas L. husband of Joyce Eavenson of Lititz, and Scott A. husband of Wendy Eavenson of Lancaster; a daughter, Melissa S. Eavenson of St. Petersburg, FL; a brother, Earl husband of June Reedy of Raleigh, NC, and six grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. at the Lancaster Seventh Day Adventist Church, 48 Conestoga Drive, Lancaster, PA. Friends may greet the family at the church on Friday evening from 6:30 P.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Eavenson’s memory may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
