Samuel J. Laurento

Samuel J. Laurento of Coatesville Samuel J. Laurento, 75, of Coatesville, passed away suddenly and peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday, December 4, 2011, at the Brandywine Hospital. Born in Coatesville, he was the beloved son of the late Lawrence P. and Mary J. Colardo Laurento. He was a 1955 graduate of S. Horace Scott High School. Sam was a loyal and loved employee of Lamb's Beverages for over 50 years. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and also read many books from the library that were phenomenal. He enjoyed playing bingo on Tuesday and Saturday nights with his sisters at Westwood Fire Hall; humming while dabbing his numbers was a trait noticed by all who knew him. In all kinds of weather, you could see Sam walking around the city of Coatesville and the memory of him will always be embedded in our minds and our hearts forever. Surviving him are two brothers, Anthony Laurento, husband of Gerry and William Laurento, husband of Sheila; four sisters, Alberta Thomas, wife of Edwin, Barbara Rettinger, wife of Richard, Maryanne Orshesky, wife of Jim and Joanne McPeak, wife of Richard; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, December 9, at St. Cecilia Church, Sixth Avenue and Chestnut Streets, Coatesville. Family and friends may call at the church beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday. Interment will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Coatesville. On-line condolences may be made by visiting:
